"We're benchmarking all future campaigns against this"

Connecting Britvic colleagues to the business and each other

Showcasing the benefits of ‘Our Britvic’ intranet with a straight-talking guerilla-style campaign

The Challenge

Britvic GB’s ambition is to become a top five great place to work across all markets, building on its success in moving up the Great Place to Work rankings. To achieve this, their people need the right tools for the job.

This meant raising colleague awareness of Britvic’s new intranet through a launch campaign. One that made colleagues think the new intranet supported them in their roles, helped them to feel more ‘connected’ at work, enabled them to work smarter, and made them active supporters of Our Britvic. The Internal Comms team asked us to come up with an innovative, integrated campaign.

The Solution

We spent time speaking to colleagues and understanding the frustrations that the new intranet would fix. This fed into the creative messaging of the launch campaign. Using trusted Britvic channels and formats, we built a two-stage straight-talking campaign based around the idea that it was ‘about time’ the company intranet had a refresh. The new intranet was a big improvement and the campaign’s no-nonsense tone of voice and bold, clean design reflects this.

We created a suite of materials, from tongue-in-cheek teaser stickers and email headers suggesting that it’s ‘about time’ Britvic had a new intranet, to informative animations and Z-cards for the launch.

The Result

Colleagues loved the campaign because it identified with how they’d been feeling. And by giving them a suite of communications that were easy to understand, they had confidence that the new intranet would also be simple.

The mobile-friendly intranet had overwhelmingly positive feedback from the 63% of Britvic colleagues who viewed the launch communications in the first three days.

The launch scooped an Award of Excellence for Best Single Campaign at 2018’s IoIC National Awards.
