A new position has arisen to join our forward-thinking, fast-paced team as a full-time Junior Studio Planner.
Your main responsibility will be owning and managing all creative studio activity through robust planning techniques. You’ll work with account managers and creative teams to understand client requirements and plan resource accordingly, keeping an eye on budgets and deadlines.
You’ll champion quality standards and ensure process is being followed to deliver cutting-edge communications of the highest standards. As part of this you will work with our third-party suppliers to ensure they are meeting the same standards.
> Managing the day-to-day running of the W&P Creative Studio, managing all studio operations, making full use of project management planning tools and leading daily planning meetings
> Manage the design studio and ensure the smooth running of the production teams’ workflow and administrative processes, ensuring studio time is logged effectively
> Oversee the pipeline of work across Definition Agency Group, allocating resource and budget according to priority while maintaining production schedules, tracking peak periods and resourcing accordingly
> Assessing, interrogating and clarifying project requests and assigning the appropriate designers/writers to a project based on skill sets
> Assisting the account management team with making client amends when needed
> Creating and implementing deadlines, project goals, expectations and workflows, to ensure a smooth production process
> Managing image and video libraries and archiving and ensuring files are stored according to W&P process
> Helping to share work across the company on a regular basis
> Continually reviewing processes so that the studio and the wider agency are aware of how the creative studio operates
> Liaising with freelancers and keeping up to date with capacity
> Overseeing print buying for the department ensuring that best prices are obtained
> Managing procurement of print, large format production, subscriptions and tools and organising deliveries
> Working with the design and creative teams to ensure the best print solutions are sought and new techniques are shared
> Supporting with basic website updates.
We’re looking for someone who…
> Project management orientated with strong organisation skills
> An excellent communicator, positive but realistic with the ability to judge the appropriate way to communicate problems according to the audience
> Confident and able to have tricky conversations and push back when necessary
> Thrives on juggling projects and deadlines and is able to systematically prioritise
> Proactive, always looking to streamline production, make efficiencies, avoid duplication. Not afraid to put a case together for better and more focussed workflows
> Able to plan with transparency, managing risks and escalating concerns
> Able to retain and process lots of information and make quick decisions
> Able to balance the creative goals with the principle of efficient and well-planned production
> Calm under pressure, particularly during peak periods of workflow
> Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely
> Knowledge of Adobe applications including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications is advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided.
The position is entry level and training will be given to understand all elements of the process end-to-end, enabling you to put your own stamp on the role.
