We’re looking for a Midweight Designer with bags of potential, or a successful Senior Designer looking for a new challenge. You must be a strong all-rounder with a conceptual portfolio showing integrated projects across both print and digital channels.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ agency experience under their belt.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a proactive and solutions-focused creative to join our design team as a full-time Mid/Senior Designer (dependent on experience).
You’ll work closely with the Head of Design, and both the editorial and project management teams to produce idea-driven communications for both national and international clients. You’ll take ownership of projects and ensure the highest quality standards and attention to detail are consistently maintained.
As a multi-channel designer, you’ll be an Adobe CC expert, working on a variety of different projects ranging from branding, traditional print magazines, wall graphics and gamification through to producing films, assets for animation, design for web and strategic campaigns.
You’ll be confident pitching and presenting creative solutions internally and to clients and be able to manage workloads within agreed timings.
You’ll look to build strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted creative advisor and a brand champion, identifying strategic opportunities by learning about their business and communication challenges. Building client trust is key to producing better work and is essential to drive our growth and success.
You’ll need to have a passion for communication and be an ideas-focused creative, confident in your ability to see projects through from concept to finished artwork.
You’ll have a sound commercial nature, thrive working in a close-knit team and go above and beyond to delight clients.
Experience in illustration, motion graphic design or UX/ UI knowledge is desirable, but not essential.
We’re looking for someone who…
- Has five years’+ commercial design experience
- Is highly proficient in Adobe CC suite applications and has a high level of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator skills
- Has a knockout portfolio, demonstrating ideas through concept to execution
- Is confident, passionate and knowledgeable about design and communication (previous internal communications experience is advantageous, but not essential)
- Is comfortable pitching/presenting creative solutions internally and to client
- Has a natural affinity with layout, typography, photo selection and idea generation
- Has good working knowledge of preparing artwork for print/digital/animation
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is a proactive team player, with a client-centric focus and a can-do attitude
