Acquisition expands partnership and strengthens our ‘inside out’ offer following run of major industry accolades
We’re uniting our strengths with another award-winning player in the communications sector as the Definition Agency Group acquires London-based brand strategy and creative design agency Redhouse.
This is a further boost to the Group’s ‘inside out’ communication offer for major brands, business leaders, organisations and government. Words&Pictures joined earlier this month, adding our extensive internal communications insight and experience to the reputation management expertise of multi-award winning agency Definition. The Group, which also acquired London-based Limelight back in 2018, is based out of Leeds, London and Dubai.
A leading branding and creative agency, Redhouse has worked with government and global corporations to create and communicate engaging brand and issues-based campaigns. It has won more than 120 national and international awards, and has a heavyweight public sector portfolio, including HS2, HM Parliament and the Environment Agency, as well as corporate clients, such as Pearson, the Institute of Physics and EDF Energy. Redhouse MD Fiona Corey now joins the Definition Agency Group Board.
Integrated ‘inside out’ offer
By collaborating through the Group structure, the three complementary agencies are now equipped to drive brand creation, recognition, engagement and growth for clients. It’s a seamless ‘inside out’ comms offer supported by an impressive mix of skills. These include corporate communication experts, brand and design creatives, internal communication and employee engagement specialists, reputation and crisis management professionals, former national print and broadcast journalists, content producers and digital marketing teams.
Recognition for excellence
As a group, we now bring a combined 70 years of experience to bear, working for global brands and government, and rank in the top five specialist B2B PR & communications agencies in the UK*. Not only do we boast a combined tally of over 400 UK and international awards, but the deal follows a run of industry accolades for the Group during November.
Words&Pictures scooped eight class wins and awards for communication excellence at the Institute of Internal Communications Awards, including Best Campaign, Best Magazine, Stand-out Communication, Imagery and the Tom Dawson Award (the Grand Prix award). Definition, meanwhile, took the coveted title of B2B Agency of the Year in the PR Moment Awards 2020.
A good strategic fit
Nigel Howes, Chairman of Definition Agency Group said: “We have a bold and ambitious growth strategy based on a shared vision of the future. Our aim is to deliver significant value to our clients by acquiring and leveraging a range of complementary skills and services.
“Redhouse is a very good strategic fit because branding sits at the heart of everything we already do in reputation management at Definition and employee engagement at Words&Pictures. Its expertise extends our sector specialisms into government and, through major departmental contracts, also strengthens our credentials in the transportation and education sectors.”
