"It captured the hearts and minds of the whole company"

Twist Bioscience | Employee Experience

Comic book creations bring
science to life

A creative superhero concept where colleagues become part of the Twist Bioscience origin story – ‘Super powers are in our DNA’

The Challenge

San Francisco-based Twist Bioscience wanted to bring their employee community together to celebrate the culture of innovation and excellence that has powered its growth over the last five years. So, they turned to us to develop a fun and engaging colleague interpretation of their customer proposition.

The Solution

We created a bold, graphic superhero concept, which celebrated the individual ‘powers’ that colleagues bring to their teams. Using rich video and photographic content, this engaging campaign featured heart-warming stories of the meaning colleagues found in their work, detailed the role played by the company’s founders and explored Twist’s
rapid growth.

The Result

From the comic book video to posing for the camera for team stories, everyone at Twist brought enthusiasm and individuality to the campaign. The feedback was excellent and demonstrated an appetite for more colleague and customer stories. As such, we’re working with Twist to develop a digital channel for colleagues.

We were proud winners of the IoIC Central & North ‘Video & Animation’ Award 2019.
